Dr. Tina Smith
Dr. Tina Smith graduated from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1993 and joined the family practice with her father, Dr. Ronald Smith, and uncle, Dr. Donald Smith. Dr. Tina worked in the office many years prior to becoming a dentist. Working as a dental assistant and at the front desk during summers and school breaks, Dr. Tina was able to build a rapport with the patients and experience dentistry from all aspects. She thoroughly enjoys doing all phases of dentistry and feels that her wonderful staff and the community of people who are her patients is what makes her job so enjoyable.
Dr. Tina Smith is currently the President-Elect of the Northwest Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society. Dr. Tina feels it is important to give back to the profession and does so by volunteering her dental talents to the Illinois Dental Foundation for the Handicapped and Disabled.
Dr. Tina resides in Libertyville with her husband, Dr. Vince Arpino, who is an orthodontist. They have one child and hope one day young Vincent will follow in the family footsteps.
Dr. Ronald Smith
Born in Des Plaines, Illinois, identical twins Ronald and Donald would one day establish ARLINGTON SMITH FAMILY DENTISTRY, a Family caring for Families.
In between those years was graduation from LakeView High School in Chicago, the University of Illinois with a focus to the future — dental school. In 1956 both graduated from Northwestern University School of Dentistry.
Immediately after graduation both Ronald and Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force. Ronald was provided continued added experience and an opportunity to perform periodontal surgery, endodontics, oral surgery, helping to meet the dental needs of a very busy Texas air base.
Ronald married in June, 1962 and opened the dental office with his brother in August of 1962 realizing that Arlington Heights and the surrounding suburban areas would be an ideal place to practice his profession and raise a family.
Of the two girls and two boys that completed the family circle, one would follow in her father's footsteps. DR. TINA SMITH proudly joined her father in 1993 and the two practice together as a father/daughter team. Brother Donald retired in 2000.
Dr. Kyle Heaton
Dr. Kyle Heaton joined the family of ARLINGTON SMITH FAMILY DENTISTRY three years ago. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated in 2002. Dr. Heaton continued his education, relocating to Florida where he attended Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale. He graduated in 2006 and now is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois dental Society and the Northwest Branch of the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Heaton grew up in Burr Ridge, Illinois, one of three sons of Dr. & Mrs. William Heaton. Dr. Wilson Heaton is an oral surgeon currently practicing in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Dr. Heaton and wife, Kristina currently make their home in Arlington Heights.
